11/1/2023: Awards ceremony for Light of Carroll/Carroll County Public Library, Finksburg, Maryland
I am honored to be nominated for the Light of Carroll literacy award presented by the Carroll County Public Library. The awards recognize the work of individuals, groups, and businesses in promoting and supporting the power of literacy through acts of kindness, courage, selflessness, or educaton in the Carroll County community. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall at 8 am.

I am excited to announce that I will be presenting a new workshop for the Charles County Chapter of the Maryland Writers' Association on November 15, 2023. My topic is "Five Theatre Techniques That May Enhance Your Fiction Writing."
Recurring monthly: Teen Writing Club, Maryland Writers Association, Westminster, Maryland (Club meets the 3rd Saturday of the month at the Westminster Branch of the Carroll County Public Library)
I am proud to facilitate this group of Carroll County teens in a monthly Teen Writing Club, where we journal, discuss writing issues, practice writing craft, and share our work. I am honored to present a talk entitled "A Road to Traditional Fiction and Nonfiction Publishing: One Author's Journey" to the members of this chapter. Participants will engage in exercises as well as hear the speaker's own successes and failures as a strategy for developing their own roadmap, should they choose traditional publishing.
